expressing herself.
yesterday when i got lily up from her nap, it was evident she had not been napping.
she was wearing her dress.
and tights.
and pants. and socks. and a skirt. and a sweatshirt.
she was celebrating her creative style and ability to dress herself.
and then after nap time, we were running some errands and i asked if she wanted to take a snack along. of course she did. but the stipulation was that it was a snack that had "small seeds" in it. i asked if she would like an apple. and she clarified that it "had to have small seeds you can eat." clearly an apple would not suffice. so, she decided on grape tomatoes.
and then, as we were driving, she started to pepper me with questions about how you drive a car. i was explaining it to her and she told me she wanted to drive. i proceeded to tell her that she would have to wait until she was 16. and then she said, "wow, mom. that is going to be a really hard thing to wait for."
oh, my little nin. how you are growing. how you amaze and challenge us every day. and how we love watching you express yourself!!

What a little stinker. She is so smart. Oh, the things she'll do someday.
so cute, lily!! i had a hard time waiting to drive too!! :)
My cousin backed his mother's car into a tree across the street from his house... when he was 3 years old.
I wouldn't doubt that Nin would do the same! Hope your key hooks are high off the ground!
